LiteS, were you the one who died literally next to my vault? If so, next time don't forget to check out the other door before you take the pitbull with you.
Also you found a solution to the trapdoor room that is much easier than mine, so after you rob me I will have to change something in there.
I just watched the tape. You made the right choice, but died due to the fact that you forgot something a bit earlier.
Ok that's right, forgot about that, there are exactly two 1:2 choices to make. I didn't think anyone would make it that far this quick.
OK so to be really safe and able to back out you need to bring a ladder (or two explosives), 1-2 bricks and 1-2 dog food. I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused by too little information.
I got a cat to open the door for me, I'm too paranoid to go any further, who knows what changes you've made
.
Yeah you are the first ever to figure out what the cats are for (or at least one of them). I haven't made any changes.
I preferred your older version of the dog container though, it was scarier
I think you mean the one I had when my wife died in my previous life, so I had more space and another function in that part of the house.
Yes, Josh keeps coming back.
Nope, not on the list. You're editing your home?
Not any more.
Josh, is it Gipson or Gibson?
Hi guys,
I've been building my house for about a week now and it's the first time I managed to complete one without killing myself in the process. It has gathered about 300 deaths and was only robbed once (bruteforced by Mr. Curry with about 14k spent, 15k robbed). My wife is also still alive.
I'd love to see my house being solved instead of bruteforced, so if anyone is interested, feel free to try. My name appears to be Shane Ronald Gipson. It's quite hard to die near the entrance, if you happen to know what you're doing, and there are only two puzzles and a couple of commitment gates.
I can post some screenshots to help if necessary. I will try to keep my house value under 14k and I might buy some new paintings.
I would like to thank Mr. Knight and Mr. Loos for being there for me whenever I was in need.
Josh, you robbed me as well, could you please tell me my name?
I had the house with the two Kazemis and two other paintings, and the pitbull behind the window by the front door. You used five explosives and four ladders I think.
If you come to my house and get past the first couple of traps, you might come to a room that looks like this:

It's not hard to get through... but you have to take a pitbull with you in order to get past the next commit gate.
I'm curious if anyone finds a solution other than the one I have in mind.
i can't see any 2000$ design survive 24h00
My $2k house had six visitors in the last 24 hours and went up from $78 to $278.
Or double-click for 3.
Or you could just build TCD in Minecraft.
Should it work this way? Because it doesn't.

It's always a good idea to have some spare pitbulls hidden somewhere in your house. That way you can still make a nice doggy maze even with zero money by putting them in the right places after you're house has been robbed.
Fake commit gate: http://castledraft.com/editor/sU0QAd
Most robbers would think the chihuahua is only there to release the pitbull, but actually it will kill you if you step onto the electric floor, which looks like a simple commit gate - unless you do a little and in this case very easy magic dance.
I'be been playing for about 4 months until my house finally survived a night. That's part of the fun.
Here is the basic setup of the upper left corner of my house (of course it's a bit more complicated, but you might get the picture): http://castledraft.com/editor/lq4A30
If you scout too far, it's not easy to come back. So why would you wanna go there? Because if you don't, you won't be able to get to my vault without a lot of tools. You have to go past the dogs in order to get the 'key' and then go back without getting killed.
This was fun.
The number of visits and deaths in a house resets when the owner changes the layout.
I know, but I've just been to a $10k+ undefended house. Somehow they keep popping up.
Yea I found a $5k one today too..... I have no idea how that happens.
I just saw a guy with about $9k, 0, 0 in the list but didn't make it inside quick enough. The name was something like Richard Rodney Thomas. I hope it's not some kind of exploit.
While you were looking for $2,000 starter houses, I've just found a $7,300 undefended one.
My favorite trap is, to put in in vague terms: a bunch of hallways to return by, but only one is the same one you entered through.
I couldn't quite imagine this, but I've just been in a house that fits the description. It has only one picture (Obviously, a major malfunction). If that one is yours, I see what you mean, this is a nice one.
Do I want to continue devising traps that other people are going to fall into and die
You could try to design a house that won't kill people but just lead them back to the entrance instead. No violence, no death, no bounty and therefore no problem with your house getting more valuable.
