I had a $280 house That literally was up for 10 minutes - completely brand new. It has an immediate door that locks behind you and you are trapped. After that there is a 1 in 5 chance of finding my vault or dying. The very first robber to visit this house period came into a $280 house with $2000 of tools. He waited for the cops to come, but I believe he scouted the whole house. Then 2 civilians came in and died. Then Craig Jason Phillips who has a very expensively built house walks into my house with zero tools, no way to get back out, right into my commit death traps and picks the vault exactly. So in my opinion without a doubt the first guy came in and scouted the house and waited for the cops to come so I couldn't see his scout. Then Craig Jason Phillips who has a ton to lose comes in and perfectly picks my vault out with zero tools even though he has plenty of money to bring a dog meat or a door stop to be safe.
I thought about that. That's a good point. I don't know. Let's amend the offer to $50 for the complete razing of his house.
Will pay with screenshot proof of trashed house or killed wife and robbed vault.
Jason,
Can we set up a facility to report dual accounts?
This keeps happening to me over and over and I love this game but I am about to give up on it. Which really bums me out, I read the article where you said a game should get more expensive as time goes on. I bought that argument and I will admit I have gotten a lot for my money, but I can't in good conscious recommend the game to anyone else with the rampant cheating. It seems to me if there was a way for me to say. Review the tape where "Oscar Dennis Graves" dumped $2000 of tools in my $280 house only to be perfectly robbed by Craig Jason Phillips for $3503 (2 more people died in between leaving tools) 5 minutes later. It's clearly a dual accounter. You should be able to see what license key had these names at this time and just ban them for good. I think it would be a little work for you or someone (I would volunteer to do this for you, I am a software engineer/manager) up front but eventually the cheaters would get tired of buying licenses and loosing them.
I don't see how it's solvable, unless there is something about electronics I don't understand. A turn after the dogs sees you the floor gets lit up regardless of where the buttons or you are. Can someone smarter than me explain the solution to this?
Yeah I don't think two accounts is in the spirit of the game or Jason wouldn't have put measures in there to prevent it.
It would be real easy to see if he is a bot just by putting a 4 high wood wall right in front of door, no? If he walks around it he is a fast clicker if he bails out he is a bot.
I guess something that is suspicious is someone taking over 100 steps in the entrance of my house not once, not twice, but three times when I haven't even edited it, and then coming in and taking three steps a dozen more times. Not necessarily a bot, but still damn annoying (What? You think I don't watch every single tape?) and with no apparent motive.
I have done this before. When someone has come in and 3 stepped in my house multiple times incrementing my 0 0 counter more than once. I get annoyed so I go increment their counter with the hope that I will annoy them and bait them to actually come in and look at my non-intimidating house and die. I have done this twice and one of the times it worked, the guy came in and died.
It definitely looks like newb and casual players are rapidly disappearing from the game. It's a bummer, because I think this is the smartest and most addictive game I have ever played, but unless you can camp on your house until you can get into the $10-$20k house range you will get blown out by a bigger player with more time. I think the game will be down to less than 50 players in a month or two at this rate...maybe less.
One idea I had was, if your house is less than $10k in either parts or vaults, allow players to take their houses off the list. Players with sub $10k house value that leave their houses on the list earn $25/hour in salary. I know salary has been in the game before and was taken out, and I know the option of unlisting your house has been discussed. But I think these would be reasonable things to offer the casual lower value player that has a job, social life or family, to play on a more level playing field as they have time to play until they get into the upper echelons.
Though I didn't brute force him, I solved his buttons by trial and error.
I gotta wonder if this is the guy who's house I scouted with my solitary account but across 3-4 deaths/days, and then robbed his vault twice today, which he left in the same place with another $7k in it just a few hours later.
Q: Is this a bug or intended behavior? If you have drugged a chihuahua with meat, then if you step on that sleeping chihuahua with another chihuahua at your feet, the sleeping chihuahua "wakes up".
Q: If there is a panic button between me and a pitbull like this : http://castledraft.com/editor/VY9NOe Can I safely step on the panic button and club the pitbull? I would try it for myself, but I have a little 4k house going right now.
